The cabinetmaker has finally finished the installation of both the office area and the TV area. The room looks absolutely great. I’ve taken pictures, but forgot to bring along the cable to transfer them from camera to computer, so will have to wait until I get back to Bermuda to get them posted.
Kim arrived Friday exactly as scheduled, and since it had been a long time since I’d seen her, I went to the airport (by public transportation) to meet her. We cabbed it back to the condo and caught up on a lot of things en route.
It was a busy weekend with brother Ben coming for dinner on Friday evening, then friends Cindy and Jeff Gault coming for Saturday overnight. Our original plan was to go out for dinner Saturday evening, but decided that Jeff and I could plan and shop for dinner while Cindy and Kim attended to some retail therapy. That plan worked out absolutely great since, as a lot you know, the weather turned foul here in the Midwest. It was much more fun looking out the window and watching the storm.
Sunday morning, however, we did venture out into the storm for church, then brunch. After the Gaults left, it was Sunday newspaper time, then dinner at my favorite local restaurant – Big Bowl.
It was a fun weekend.
We’re getting ready to wrap it up here in Chicago. Kim leaves Tuesday afternoon for Geneva and I leave very early Wednesday for Bermuda.

Funny stuff...I left you both an e-mail about Wisconsin/Illinois weather on Saturday, March 28. I was sure you were in Bermuda -- safe from the high winds and heavy snow. Turns out you were both in Chicago. So...great storm huh? Glad you are both safe. I wish Kim a safe and successful trip to Geneva, and wish Neil a safe trip home to Bermuda. Sending love from Wisconsin...always, Susan
Thanks for the note Susan. It was interesting to read it while looking out at the horrible weather. I think there was more snow for you than in Chicago, but it was still miserable here. Bermuda looks really good.
