I’ve been in Chicago about a week now. The weather’s been pretty good -- probably not unusual for this time of year -- and I’m enjoying it. Well, I don’t think St. Patrick’s Day weather was usual – seventies and sunny. Lots of people out on the streets celebrating. Lots of energy – which is so typical of Chicago.
Our contractors came on Tuesday and have been working ever since getting the den cabinetry installed. There’s an office area and an “entertainment” area in the room. It’s starting to come together, and I will be extremely glad when they’re finished and out of here. It’s impossible to keep the place clean when they’re sawing and sanding, and generally making dirt. I think they’ll finish tomorrow, but I’m not totally sure about that. I’ll post pictures when they’re done.
I drove to Jackson, Wisconsin, yesterday and had an enjoyable afternoon with my brother and sister-in-law and family. I especially enjoyed visiting with niece Lorri and her kids, whom I don’t really see that often. The kids are all growing up so fast, all a bit different from one another, and all a real pleasure to talk with.
Looking forward to Kim’s arrival on Friday. I think this is about the longest we’ve been separated since we got married.

Hi Uncle Neil-----FINALLY I visited your blog and left a message this time! It was very, very wonderful seeing you on Sunday at my parent's home. You have always been the most fun to talk with. I do enjoy your sense of humor and "genuiness", and of course hearing the adventures you experience. I don't think I could ever cover as much earth as you have. You are truly blessed!
I hope God Willing to see you again very soon. Thanks for having this blog space so I can know what you're up to. If there's one thing I am weak in its not keeping contact. I do think of you OFTEN and inquire from my dad what's new with you when I see him each week. Will be visiting "TheBermudaOnion" again to send my love. Take care!!!
Thanks, Lorri. I hope you visit the blog often and leave more comments. Keep us informed with the kids, too.
